Monchi lining up Barcelona's Denis Suarez for Roma switch
The Barcelona midfielder is a target for the Serie A side
But the Catalans don't want to sell & Denis doesn't want to leave
It cannot be denied that there is an excess of midfielders at Barcelona. And it seems that this summer one of them will leave the club. Therefore, it's not strange to hear players like Rafinha, Arda Turan, Andre Gomes and Denis Suarez linked with moves away from Camp Nou.
In the case of Denis Suarez, the latest link comes from Italy, where it's been reported he is a target for Roma. The key to this interest is Monchi, the club's new sporting director who knows the player well having taken him to Sevilla three years ago.
However, it's difficult deal to pull off. Barça have already made it clear that Denis is not available this summer. And the footballer, on more than one occasion, has stated his desire to remain with the club for a second season having gradually adapted over the last 12 months.
With that context, Denis moving to Roma at the moment seems very remote. But as they always say, you never know what can happen in football...
