Jean Michael Seri looks set to leave Nice this summer and his destination could be Roma. Tallks are advanced between the two clubs after new sporting director Monchi identified the midfielder as a target and there are just a few final details to be agreed.
Seri has been one of the most talked about players in the transfer market so far, with Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain also maintaining an interest.
But according to the Italian press, Monchi has pushed harder than the rest and Seri is close to agreeing a move to Serie A ahead of the new season.
Nice rejected Roma's initial offer from Roma, their president confirmed last week, but a second offer has been deemed closer to the Ligue 1 club's asking price.
