Messi is already on his post-season holiday

Lionel Messi is on vacation with his partner Antonella Roccuzzo at an unknown destination after spending some days together in Rosario, Argentina.

Messi was greeted in his hometown with a banner that read "If the world is against you, we're against the world". From there they went to Malvinas Islands Airport to travel on holiday, with reports suggesting that the 29-year-old has flown to one of the paradise islands in the Bahamas and will most likely go on to somewhere in Croatia.

However, given the current situation surrounding his Argentina retirement announcement, Messi is keen to keep greater privacy and intimacy with his family in order to keep out of the spotlight for now.
