Il Messaggero: Barça offer 5 million euros for Nura

Barça have set their sights on Abullahi Nura and are readying a 5 million euros bid for the AS Roma defender, according to Il Messaggero.

Nura, who can also play as a defensive midfielder, is just 18-years old and would cost double the cost of what he arrived for at the Giallorossi (2.5 million from Spezia Calcio).

Last season, however, the Nigerian didn't feature in the first team and is still yet to make his Serie A debut, instead featuring for AS Roma Primavera.

Barça continued scouting the youngster after their paths crossed in the UEFA Youth League, where they drew 0-0 with Roma in the group stages. Incidentally, the encounter sparked the interest of Barça's sporting director, Robert Fernandez.

The proposal is to sign him to play for Barça B, where Nura would have the opportunity to adapt to Spanish football and continue his development.

However, Walter Sabatini - Roma's sporting director - has moved to dampen a potential transfer of one his club's future stars.
