Marquinhos says 'no' to Paris Saint-Germain... waiting for Barcelona?
Talks have stalled over a new deal with the Brazilian's current terms running until 2019
Marquinhos has always been a player closely followed by Barcelona. There were several summers when the Catalan club tried to tempt the Brazilian defender, only to come up short in their efforts because PSG didn't want to lose a player they deemed key to their future.
In the most recent talks between Barça and the player, the club asked him to hold off on renewing his terms so that when his deal expires in 2019 -- or the year before -- it would be easier to do a deal. Marquinhos, 22, is now a key player with PSG, though, and has began talks over a new deal.
The first feedback, though, from the club has been a failure.
According to Yahoo Sport, "Marquinhos is in talks with PSG over a renewal. They've been talkign for several months and things are not progressing very well. There's reason for pessimism. Talks are close to dying. After the contact from Barça, the player's asking for more. For now, PSG are not succumbing to his demands."
