Marlon Santos finally given the all clear to make his debut for Barcelona B
Marlon Santos is finally in a position to be able to make his debut for Barcelona B.
The Brazilian defender has not been able to play a single minute so far this season due to not having the necessary visa to have a working contract with the club.
That has now been resolved, though, with the player receiving the relevant documentation on Friday.
And on Saturday, Barça B coach Gerard Lopez named him in the squad for Sunday’s trip to Mallorca B.
It is the first time the centre-back, who has trained regularly with the first team and featured in pre-season, will be able to make an official appearance in a blaugrana shirt.
Since he joined the club he has impressed on both a football and a personal level.
His professionalism has been underlined and his will to improve Lopez’s team.
Elsewhere, Dani Romera has received the all clear to return to action following a meniscus problem, but has not been named in this weekend’s squad.
Full squad: Suarez, Varo, Palencia, Nili, Martinez, Tarin, Marlon, Moises, Sarsanedas, Xemi, Fali, Carbonell, Perea, Aleña, Kaptoum, Alfaro, Mujica, Jeremy.
