The Italian midfielder is widely admired by Europe's top clubs

His agent was angry about fake news regarding the player and hinted at a move

Donato Di Campli, Marco Verratti's agent, has left the Italian midfielder's future in the air. After L'Equipe claimed that the player, along with Blaise Matuidi, partied in a nightclub two days before the 6-1 defeat by Barcelona at Camp Nou that saw them knocked out of the Champions League.

Di Campli spoke to Premium Sport about the story. "They should have to kiss his feet, if it happened again," he warned.

"It was absolutely crazy," he said of the story. "Pure invention. Talking about technical aspects is one thing, but here they have entered the private sphere of a player who has always kept a low profile."

Di Campli added: "We want a rectification but it has not arrived. We will file a compensation claim for damages."

PSG quickly came out in defence of both players. Di Campli added: "Verratti is not angry wit hthe club and the fans, who have always behaved well. Marco has a contract until 2021."

He added: "The president has reaffirmed his will to create a great team. But it's true too that my phone doesn't stop winning. If anything like this happens again, we will have to think seriously."
