The Valencia coach says Barça are at a superior level right now

Despite being second, he's not thinking about a title tilt

Valencia coach Marcelino García Toral had no problems giving his opinion on Barcelona in an interview with Cope. According to the coach, the Catalan side's performances at the moment put them ahead of Real Madrid.

"Right now, at this moment of the season, Barcelona give you fewer chances than Real Madrid," Marcelino said, arguing that "they're in superior form" and saying that it is a surprise "after the summer, but Madrid have been more inconsistent, that's what the results, the statistics and the points say."

In this sense, Marcelino added that "Barça have taken practically everything, except the draw against Atletico. The games and the results say that they're the most in-form team in La Liga."

Despite being second in the table, four points back from Barcelona and four ahead of Real and Atletico, Marcelino prefers not to waste time thinking about Valencia's chances of winning the league.

He added: "We are not thinking about that, never. Not at all. I think it's a utopia. We will see where we are in March or April. We have to be aware that, in a league where teams get 95 points, it's very difficult for a team like Valencia or even Atletico to get close to the two apex predators."

Instead, he's focusing on the Copa del Rey: "We will go for it. We will try to go as far as possible. Eight games can get you in the final. It's a short competition. It would be great for the city and for me, as I've never won anything."
