The teenager has had an impressive season and is now in the B team

Manhester City and Dortmund were watching his contract situation

Barcelona and Marc Cucurella's agents have reached an agreement for the youngster to sign a new four-year deal with the club. The deal is likely to be signed next week, with the player currently focused on Barça B's game against Cartagena.

Extending the left-back's contract was one of the club's most important issues, with his current deal up in June and other clubs able to talk to him. But despite that, Cucurella has always demonstrated his committment to the club, who he joined in 2012 from Espanyol.

Cucurella, who part of the U19 side's run to the UEFA Youth League semi-finals, will now have a contract with the B team, although it's not known if they will be in the second or third division next season yet.

Pep Segura was behind the important offer made to the 18-year-old due to the interest from Borussia Dortmund and Manchester City.
