Marc Bartra again insists he could play at right-back for Barcelona

Marc Bartra continues to suggest he is capable of playing at right-back for Barcelona - if that is what Luis Enrique wants.

Dani Alves is out of the contract in the summer and Martin Montoya would like to leave the club in January. Coupled with a transfer ban, it could leave the Blaugrana short in the right full-back position soon.

However, Bartra has confirmed he would have no problem occupying the position.

"I player several games there for Barça B under Luis Enrique," he revealed in an interview with TVE. "I feel comfortable in that position."

Barça begin 2015 full of optimism, hoping that the new year will signal the return of trophies to Camp Nou. And despite not being a regular starter, Bartra feels completely integrated in the team.

"I had some difficult moments during my first year, and also in the second," he continued. "But the important thing is not to give up, listen to your teammates and learn from them."

He's also welcomed the competition in the centre-back area, with Jeremy Mathieu and Thomas Vermaelen signed in the summer.

"The more competition, the better for the team and the better for me, to continue growing," he added. "The condidence the 'mister' has in me counts for a lot."

In that sense, Bartra thinks it's positive that Barça make use of a big squad, saying it's better than using the same "12 or 13 players" all year long.

Although he feels that, despite the rotations, the team has a good base.
