Marc-Andre ter Stegen sends message to Claudio Bravo

Marc-Andre ter Stegen maintained an uneasy relationship with Claudio Bravo during their time with Barcelona, but the German has sent a conciliatory farewell message to his former rival after he joined Manchester City.

Bravo was Barça's La Liga goalkeeper while Ter Stegen took responsibilities in the Copa del Rey and Champions League.

The former Borussia Monchengladbach player was always keen to voice his discontent at the situation and forced the Catalan club's hand in some respects to enforce him as their undisputed no.1 and allow Bravo to leave for the Premier League.

"Our hard work and fair competition was always motivating. We achieved many titles together! Good luck, Claudio," read the 24 year-old's message on Twitter.

City signed Bravo for 18 million euros plus two million in variables due to his age and because his contract expired in two seasons.

As for Ter Stegen, Barça are working to renew his contract within the coming weeks.
