Marc-Andre ter Stegen feels bad but admits Manuel Neuer is better than Claudio Bravo

Barcelona's Champions League goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen spoke to the press on Tuesday about Wednesday night's match with Paris Saint-Germain at Camp Nou. The German stopper assured that he is working hard to also become first choice in la Liga.

"It's not my decision who plays in la Liga, the Champions League or the Copa Del Rey," Ter Stegen explained. "What I have to do is be as good as possible in every match and take my opportunities." It's a situation which requires patience, a word which he was keen to point out he has taken on board since moving to Catalonia.

"I've learned that you always need patience," he continued. "It is a big word here, but not just in my case. Also, when you play against any team you need it, everyone needs it. Each day I continue to learn in training and in games because we have such good players. In fact, I hope to continue doing so for a long time."

Ter Stegen was also honest when asked for his opinion on Claudio Bravo's nomination as best goalkeeper of the year. "I feel bad, but I thing that Manuel Neuer is the best goalkeeper," he admitted. "Claudio is a great keeper, but Neuer won the World Cup and has been proving that he is the best at Bayern for a long time."

He held back, though, when asked who should win the Ballon d'Or. "I'm fortunate because I don't have to decide because they are three fantastic players and I wouldn't like to say one or the other deserves it," he stated.

Back to Barcelona and Ter Stegen was confident for the match against PSG this week. "We have a very good team," he answered. "I really want to win this one because we want to be top of the group. We know our qualities and also their qualities, for that reason I am convinced if we play like we can, we can win the game."
