Luis Suarez trains for Barça and is ready for Girona and Sporting
The Uruguayan will return after taking a rest against Eibar
Valverde hopes the striker will respond well to the break
Barcelona will be able to count on Luis Suarez again for Saturday's trip to Girona. The Uruguayan trained with the rest of his team-mates on Friday and looks to be recovering his fitness after rushing back from an injury, with the intention of getting back on the scoresheet at Montilivi.
Suarez remained on the bench for the whole game against Eibar. The injury he suffered against Real Madrid in the Super Cup prevented him playing the first two league games of the season. However, he returned from that injury two weeks early to play for Uruguay and then played for Barça against Espanyol, Juventus and Getafe.
AGREED REST
Valverde spoke with the striker before the game against Eibar and both agreed the best decision was for the Uruguay international to rest against the Basque side ahead of games against Girona and Sporting Lisbon.
The coach explained as much on Friday: "After the injury he had he played every minute with his country and then with us, but in the last game he had a rest. The idea is that we can count on him for Girona."
