Luis Suarez pleased with life at Barcelona and hails Lionel Messi and Neymar

Luis Suarez has gone to Uruguay for Christmas after scoring his first La Liga goal for Barcelona at the Camp Nou, against Cordoba last Saturday.

He had already celebrated his first goal in the stadium a few days earlier, when he netted for Barcelona against PSG in the Champions League, but had not found the net in domestic competition.

Suarez finally scored in the league in his eighth league match, and has three goals in total, as well as five assists.

"I'm at the best club in the world," said Suarez, without hesitation when asked to evaluate his first few months at Barcelona.

His goal is simply to "win every possible trophy. It was a dream come true to play for this team and fight to help achieve maximum success."

Suarez had unconditional support from Barcelona during his ban and the club also pushed hard to sign him from Liverpool. Both the club and Luis Enrique were convinced that he was crucial to the new project and Barcelona spent €82million on him.

The forward fights for each ball as if it will be his last chance, and has an innate ability to find the net. He is excited to play with Lionel Messi and Neymar in the Barcelona front line.

Suarez said: "Barca is a great team, for all their players. I've always said that Leo is the best in the world, and this team has a great group. They welcomed me brilliantly from day one. Everyone treated me well. It is true that Iniesta helped me a lot and still does, while Mascherano and Leo have done so too, because of the affinity between Argentina and Uruguay."

He told the club website, when asked about playing with Messi and Neymar: "They do such incredible things. You can never imagine what they are going to do. In training and in matches you start to realise just what they are capable of doing. I have to say it’s very easy to play alongside them.

"Neymar surprises you with the way he plays and what he does. I am stunned by how quick his solo runs are. I knew he was quick, but when you see him on the pitch you notice it even more. And Messi can take on three or four players at once, and does it so easily that you can’t help being amazed."
