Luis Suarez plays host again as Liverpool come to visit Barcelona

The plan is for the Reds to come to the game and see their former team-mate Luis Suarez at Camp Nou

FC Barcelona vs Borussia Monchengladbach may be a dead rubber but the game will have some interesting spectators. Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool squad will be watching the game after flying direct to Catalonia on Sunday, after their 4-3 defeat by Bournemouth.

Liverpool are currently third in the Premier League table with 30 points, four behind Chelsea and one behind Arsenal, level with Pep Guardiola's Manchester City.

Klopp decided to let his team escape the freezing temperatures on Merseyside to let his players recharge their batteries in the sun in Barcelona before they take on West Ham next weekend. The coach also wanted to use the trip to build team spirit.

At 17 degrees, Barcelona is much warmer than Liverpool, 8 degrees at midday. And at night, the plan is for the Reds to come to the game and see their former team-mate Luis Suarez. The teams met in the summer with Liverpool winning a friendly at Wembley.
