Luis Suarez looking to end goal drought away from Camp Nou in Copa clash

Luis Suarez will have another chance to kick start his goal scoring career for Barcelona at the Vicente Calderon against Atletico Madrid on Wednsday.

The Uruguayan forward has scored five times for Barça, with all of them coming at Camp Nou, minus the goal he scored against APOEL Nicosia in Cyprus on 25 November 2014.

That goal, his only goal away from home, was his first goal in azulgrana and, since then, he has not been able to score on the road.

It's been two months since that night and Luis Suarez has not accumulated four matches without scoring away from home.

He is on track to equal some of his worst spells of form playing as an away player. Suarez experienced similar situations at Groningen and Liverpool.

HIS WORST RUNS

In his early days in Europe, Luis Suarez lived his worst moment as a goal scorer away from home. In the 2006/07 season he went nearly three months without scoring a goal on his travels

That run included six matches and began on 22 October 2006, ending on 21 January 2007 when he scored twice against Vitesse.

He experienced a similar moment at Liverpool.

Despite scoring against Sunderland early on in his career in England, he had some low spells during that 2011/12 season.

Away from Anfield he struggled to find the net and he went five games without scoring before netting against Manchester United.

Also, in the 2013/14 season -- his best in the Premier League, with 31 goals -- he went for four games without scoring away from Anfield.

Luis Suarez has the determination to overcome this run. A new opportunity to end the 'nightmare' will arrive on Wednesday night.
