Luis Enrique's key quotes after beating Sevilla in Super Cup final
Luis Enrique was pleased with Barcelona's Spanish Super Cup win over Sevilla. Here's what he said afterwards.
On the performance: "I'm very happy and satisfied with what I saw on the pitch, the performances of the players who are entering in to this dynamic. Sevilla were good, above all at the start. The pressed, caused us problems and deserved a goal, as well as the penalty. But Bravo was very good. Arda's goal put us in the game. I'm very happy about everything except for Mascherano's injury.
Why even have the cup? "When there's one winner of the league and the cup, there's no sense in playing the Super Cup. It's clear that there's "business" [to cater for], but for me it doesn't make sense."
New players: "The sensation that I have is that to take on such a long season with marked out objectives, we cannot count on just 11 players, but 22 or 23. It has to be done in a collective way. We are stronger like this."
On winning 8 trophies out of 10: "I am very fortunate to have a group of unique players, who don't stop surprising me," he said in his post-match press conference.
"They are [all] different and the good thing is that the new players have a lot of enthusiasm and will try and copy what those who have been here for years have been doing. It's a true honour and a pleasure."
