Luis Enrique's contract extension will be dealt with at the end of the season

FC Barcelona will not broach the issue of Luis Enrique's contract renewal until the end of the season. The coach's contract expires on June 30 and the club's intention is to keep the services of the Asturian coach, who they say has fulfilled his objectives.

The negotiations have been parked at the behest of the coach himself, who wants to focus on his work without any interference.

Luis Enrique signed on two years ago, after Gerardo 'Tata' Martino left, for three seasons. In the first press conference of the season, Lucho explained that he did not want to tackle his own renovation until his contract was up, so conclusions could be drawn about the work done so far.

After three seasons he wants to analyse how he feels about being at the club. Firstly, for the wear and tear managing a club like Barcelona takes, and secondly because he is aware that results will have an impact on his future.
