Luis Enrique very reluctant to let Claudio Bravo leave

Claudio Bravo is on the runway at Barcelona. Negotiations with Manchester City are advanced, but there will not be white smoke until next week. One of the problems is that Luis Enrique is unsure about letting the goalkeeper go when he is not convinced by any of the possible substitutes. The coach has discarded the idea of signing Pepe Reina, and is not sure about Diego Alves, the club's first choice. Areola and Cillessen are the other options but the coach would prefer to keep Bravo.

It was Luis Enrique who demanded the signing of Bravo two seasons ago and considers him a key figure on and off the pitch. He has a special relationship in the dressing room with some of the heavyweights of the squad. And in the Supercopa he showed he's a goalkeeper that can bring titles to the club. The coach would like to keep the keeper, but knows the club want to bring in the money from his sale and end the controversy over whether to pick him or Ter Stegen.

Barcelona want to squeeze money from Manchester City and Luis Enrique needs to give the OK to one of the candidates if the deal is to be done.
