Luis Enrique: Unless 'always me' is a horror movie, I don't understand Alba's red card

Luis Enrique: Unless 'always me' is a horror movie, I don't understand Alba's red card

Luis Enrique questioned Jordi Alba's red card, but was full of praise for Barcelona's win over Espanyol in the Catalan derby on Saturday afternoon.

"We were the best side in the first half, not doubt, dominating all aspects of the game," he said.

The Asturian also added that he was happy with how Barça played after going down to 10 men.

"We were always in control and we gave very chances away to Espanyol," he continued. "We know that we have more chance of winning games if we play well."

Asked if Espanyol was one of the last hurdles on route to Barça getting their hands on the La Liga title, Lucho remained prudent.

"Here we value points and results. There are still five key, hugely important games remaining," he explained.

With respect to Alba's dismissal, Luis Enrique admitted he was surprised by the referee's decision.

"The player has explained to me that he said "always to me" and that, unless it is the name of a horror movie, is not a reason to send someone off," he said.

Andres Iniesta's return to form was also on the agenda.

"He's been at his best moment the first game until now," Luis Enrique added. "Many times he adds things to the team and throughout the year he has been at a good level."

Finally, Luis Enrique said he "always wishes for good results for Celta Vigo", who play Real Madrid on Sunday.
