'Those that don't rate Neymar are blind' - Luis Enrique

Barcelona manager Luis Enrique defended Neymar on Saturday, highlighting his "spectacular" football and saying that the important thing is that the Brazilian "continues to to perform for the team and allows us to enjoy his football."

"I don't know what they say about him," Luis Enrique said when asked about the criticism of Neymar' way of playing from some rivals, who accuse him of overplaying in a provocative manner. "But those that don't rate his capacity as a player are blind. What he does is spectacular in all senses."

He also highlighted that the player must "continue to perform for the team and allow us to enjoy his football" rather than worry about the debates around his way of understanding and playing the game.

In addition, Luis Enrique also referred to the incident involving Neymar's father on Friday, when he confronted several journalists who were trying to get images of Neymar's birthday party in Barcelona.

"I don't make the rules of the dressing public because I don't think it would interest you," he said when asked about the rules regarding the players schedules so close to the game (with Neymar's party in mind). "But there are people that cross the line and the attitude of some media is pathetic. In the end, bad things can happen."

The Asturian insisted that the "football preparation" of the player is his responsibility and sent a message to Barça's fans: "They should be relaxed because all the players are in condition to compete and to continue so that the fans can enjoy."
