Luis Enrique speaks about Leo Messi's future at Barcelona again

The coach is getting tired with the constant questioning about the Argentine's renewal

Luis Enrique Martinez spoke in a press conference on Saturday before his side’s trip to Real Sociedad on Sunday evening.

The manager talked about the difficulties Barça have had at Anoeta in the past and, once again was also asked about Lionel Messi’s contract renewal.

A few days ago he underlined the significance of keeping the Argentine at the Catalan club, but said it’s up to the player himself and the club to give more details.

“I’m sure Messi and the club will give you the information when they have some and at the right time, but I have nothing to add to what I’ve said,” Luis Enrique said.

This week both Pep Guardiola and Jose Mourinho have said they’d like Messi to renew with Barça end his career at the Catalan club. Their reactions were surprising given both Manchester City and Manchester United are potential destinations should the 29-year-old leave Camp Nou.

However, Luis Enrique said he does not know what’s been said by either coach. “I don’t know, I’ve not heard what [Pep and Jose] have said. We all know how much media there is surrounding Messi, what he means for Catalonia and for Barca.”
