The Barça coach was critical of Gil Manzano's showing at La Rosaleda

He missed a penalty on Sergi Roberto and sent off Neymar for two bookings

Barcelona manager Luis Enrique Martinez criticised referee Jesus Gil Manzano's performance as his side were beaten 2-0 by Malaga on Saturday.

He was especially happy with the number of yellow cards given to his players -- Neymar was sent off for two bookings -- and the penalty not given on Sergi Roberto.

"It was a clear penalty, I don't know how he's given it outside," the Barça boss said of Charles' foul on Sergi Roberto, which was inside the box but given as a free-kick on the edge of the area.

On Neymar's dismissal and the yellow cards, he moaned: "I think the interpretation of yellow cards is special. We have to take a lot care in these types of games because I think there were ugly challenges from behind which clearly deserved bookings; other things such as tying your boots… If we book people for this, we have to book people for everything.

"It’s curious that a team like us that doesn’t usually kick people get so many yellow cards in such an incomprehensible manner. Then there are players on the other team that during the game commit fouls and don’t get any cards. It’s curious, but we’re used to it."
