Luis Enrique preparing to turn to tactics

After three days of intense work since Barcelona arrived in Birmingham on Monday, Luis Enrique decided to give his players a break on Wednesday.

The Barça boss cancelled the session scheduled for the evening, meaning the Blaugrana players were free after the morning's workout.

Behind this idea was Enrique's desire to begin to minimise the physical work and increase the tactical sessions, introducing the concepts which the Asturian is keen to put into practice in the new season.

In cold surroundings (cloudy weather with the temperature standing at 12 degrees), the squad left the training pitch at midday, many of them wrapped in tracksuits to combat the low temperatures in comparison to the summer months in Barcelona.

Watching the tactical session was a group of spectators: the members of the England women's national team, who are working at St.George's Park and were allowed to take in the Blaugrana in action. 

Youngster Patric Gabarron, with a minor injury, was the only absentee from the session.

Sergio Roberto, who had missed out on Tuesday, was training as normal, fitting straight back into the group without any visible problems at all.
