Luis Enrique: I'm not surprised about Vermalen's goal

Luis Enrique got the better for the first time of Javi Gracia’s Malaga on Saturday since taking over at Barcelona last summer.

Thomas Vermaelen’s second half strike was enough to seal the three points and keep Barça’s 100 percent start to the season intact.

Here is what Enrique had to say after the game:

Three points: We played a very complete game. Malaga are an effective team with the ball and they put many people behind the ball when they don’t have it. It was the type of game we expected. We were very good in many aspects of the game, Camp Nou had a lot of patience, they knew it was a difficult game.

Vermaelen the match winner: [His goal] doesn't surprise me because he is a player of the top level. On a football level, there are no doubts about him. He is still not 100 percent, though. He is a very important player when it comes to set pieces, he is an expert in the air.

Vermaelen with Belgium: I’m happy he's going with his national team, just like any Barça player. It will be good for him, although they have to evaluate his fitness. It’s good for Belgium ad its good for Barca.

Neymar’s return: Neymar was at a very high level, it’s very difficult for him to play like that given how little he has trained [because of mumps].

Referee’s decisions: You have to learn how to play without getting those decisions. We had some in our favour and some against us. I don’t waste time thinking about [these decisions] and I hope my players do the same. You have to continue playing.
