Luis Enrique extremely happy with Barcelona win over Sevilla

Barcelona coach Luis Enrique was very pleased with his team-s 2-0 win over Sevilla in the Spanish Super Cup.

“We continue with the same ambition as always,” he said. “This team knows how to sacrifice and compete, because we want all the titles and we’ve ended up with a magnificent result.

“We played a good game, as much defensively as in attack, and in the second half we were able to connect with the forwards and open the scoring. I am very happy with everything.”

Luis Enrique noted that Seville worked hard in the first half. "They pressured us a lot and it was hard to make chances, although we had many dangerous counter-attacks with less possession. In the second half we connected better and earned space, and they suffered more and weren't as dangerous. At this stage of the season you have to be happy because the team competed well and deserved the victory. There's nothing won yet because the return is to come and we respect Sevilla."

Luis Enrique still seems set on signing a new striker, despite an impressive Munir El Haddadi cameo which came with a goal.

"I'm happy with Munir and with all the team," he said. "We have a great squad and some amazing players but if I consider there is some footballer that could help improve a position, we will try to sign him. There are 15 days until the market closes and there will be ins and outs. That's what I think."
