Luis Enrique: "I don't care where the Copa del Rey final is played"

Luis Enrique says he doesn't care where the Copa del Rey final is played.

After beating Villarreal on Wednesday night, Barcelona have reached the showpiece event and will face Athletic Club, with both sides hoping to play at the Santiago Bernabeu.

However, Real Madrid don't want the game to take place at their stadium, leading to a debate over where the final will be held.

But Enrique said: "I don't really care where it's played; all I know is that we'll be there. For Barca, what counts is winning silverware."

The coach was pleased with his side's performance, saying Barcelona stepped up in the second half.

"We hadn’t bargained on scoring in practically the first move of the match," he said.

"It couldn’t really have worked out much better than it did but we hadn’t planned it that way.

"We didn’t want an end-to-end game, we wanted to control play. Villarreal had two or three chances in the opening half and in the second half, we controlled the game a lot better

"Our objective was to win the game but control the ball because we knew that they would cause us problems."
