Luis Enrique does not believe Ernesto Valverde ahead of cup clash

The Blaugrana lost the first leg 2-1 and so must come from behind, as they try to shake off the disappointment from Sunday's 1-1 draw

Luis Enrique said his Barcelona team are fired up to take on Athletic Club in the second leg of the Copa del Rey clash at Camp Nou on Wednesday.

The Blaugrana lost the first leg 2-1 and so must come from behind, as they try to shake off the disappointment from Sunday's 1-1 draw with Villarreal too.

"A knockout game means there will be tension in stands and pressure on the players," explained the Asturian.

"I think it will be a spectacle, which is what this tournament deserves. We need to go out and attack. So that’s what we’re going to do. If we score one we go ahead [on away goals] and they will have to risk more, that’s what makes return legs attractive. I’m sure fans will support us, back the team and give support that we need."

"We have to analyse our mistakes and improve. We have to attack more, be more effective, precise, commit few errors.

"We have to bring the ball out more and beat their pressure. I admire Valverde, he is one of the best coaches [in La Liga], we’ve seen his press conferences and he says things to throw people off, but we expect more of the same from Athletic tomorrow."
