Luis Enrique has never been a coach who paid much attention to individual prizes. And he continued in that line this week, ignoring the FIFA gala award ceremony The Best, in which Cristiano Ronaldo won player of the year for 2016 and declared "The Best has to be for the best, which is me".
Asked what he thought about Ronaldo's comment, Luis Enrique said: "I'm very lucky because I have not watched television in the last week."
It caused a murmur in the press room, to which Lucho said: "I don't know why you are laughing. I forbid myself from watching the shows they tell me about."
