Luis Enrique: We could not have a perfect game here

Luis Enrique Martinez recognised FC Barcelona were limp in the first half and was happy with the improvement in the second, as they beat Malaga 2-1 at La Rosaleda.

The coach said: "We had a very difficult first half, despite the goal in the first minute, but the positive is we reacted."

Lucho added: "The players are not machines. In the second part we have competed better, but in the first half we made errors.

"We were not able to have a perfect game against Malaga, but they say that's a characteristic of great teams, to win when you don't play well."

Asked about what he said to the players at the break, Lucho said: "What did I say at half-time? I don't agree. What, now I make public my words?"

Then, less aggressively, he added: "The players are very concious of what they have to do.

"We took off Thomas Vermaelen because he had a card and we went out with a line of three, trying to concentrate more and be less imprecise. But generally speaking, it was really tough.

"After the first half we had that was so much below our level, it was not possible to see us do that again in the second half. We were more secure."
