The former Barça coach is more interested in Chelsea than Arsenal

Luis Enrique will make a decision on his future in the next few days and right now he is closer to joining Chelsea than any other club.

The ex Barcelona manager already knows the Chelsea project first hand and that could convince him to succeed Antonio Conte in the Stamford Bridge hotseat.

The coach is thought to be closer to joining Chelsea than Arsenal, although nothing has been signed for now and he needs to negotiate the final details of his contract. The idea is to coach next season as long as he has a long term project and it seems that Chelsea can convince him of that.

Chelsea have already met with Luis Enrique to weigh up the pros and cons of him joining the London team. It's obvious that Chelsea need to remodel their squad and it seems that the coach will have the necessary resources to be able to compete with the best teams in Europe.

Now the ex Barça coach needs to decide if he wants to return to the dugout or if he wants to have another sabbatical year.

Arsenal is one of the other teams he could join but it seems that he is just one of many candidates to take the vacant seat in north London after Arsene Wenger leaves after 22 years in charge.

The chance of him setting up camp at the Emirates Stadium is getting smaller because their sporting project attracts him less than Chelsea's, even though Arsenal are also ready to spend big to take a sporting leap. They need to win important trophies again after some irregular years in Europe and in the Premier League.

Chelsea are also looking at Maurizio Sarri the Napoli coach who ends his contract this summer, but Luis Enrique tops Roman Abramovich's list after his success at Barça, where he won three Copas del Rey, two Liga titles and the Champions League in three seasons.
