Luis Enrique admits first half wasn't good but is ready to take on title challenge in 2015

Speaking after Barcelona's 5-0 win over Cordoba on Saturday at Camp Nou, Luis Enrique was convinced that his team "are ready to fight with Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid" for the la Liga title in the new year, despite Los Blancos' current advantage.

"We are in a process; for the rest of the season we will try to offer our best performances," Barca's boss explained, adding that he's asked his players to return with enthusiasm after the winter break because the start of 2015 is "very attractive."

After their latest win, Barca have now scored 26 goals in the last five matches they have played on home soil. Luis Enrique described the data as "positive" but admitted "it is not sufficient to lead la Liga."

He was forced to defend his teams form away from home, though. "Barca are one of the only clubs who can play the same home and away," he suggested.

With regards to the victory over Cordoba, Luis Enrique admitted that the first half "was not good" but praised a second half performance which resulted in four goals - including two more for in-form Lionel Messi.

"With the goal in the first minute, it seemed like it would be a game where we found solutions easily, but it was on the contrary to that," he said. "It was an open game until the second half, when we played with much more rhythm."
