Lucho: Barça prepare for Madrid like any other game

Luis Enrique says there has been no special preparation undertaken for Real Madrid as Barcelona prepared for the Clasico this week.

The Barça boss says he plans for games the same - regardless of if it’s against Los Blancos or Villanovense.

Madrid have had a lengthy injury list this season, but they look set to be at full strength for the Blaugrana’s visit to the capital.

That meant the likes of Keylor Navas, Sergio Ramos and Karim Benzema are all likely to start.

Enrique, though, says it doesn’t matter who Benitez is or is not able to name in his starting line-up on Saturday.

“We don’t plan our game based on who will play for the other team,” he said.

“Of course there are certain things you have to adapt to. They have a lot of players who could or couldn’t play, but we go into this game the same as we do against other teams.

“I think it’s nice that as many players as possible - the best in each squad - can play, because that makes it so much better.”

Reflecting on his own team, Enrique said that Sergio Busquets is the “most intelligent” player he has ever coached.

The comments come just weeks after Lucho lauded the Catalan as “the best midfielder in the world.”
