Lucas Digne amazed by "best in the world" Leo Messi

Lucas Digne is enjoying the happiest moment of his sporting career to date.

In an interview with Le Parisien, the French full-back has shown himself to be very integrated at FC Barcelona, and very content within the dressing room.

Among all his teammates, Digne highlights the figure of Leo Messi:

"He is extraordinary. Playing alongside him, you understand why he is the best in the world. He does incredible things."

The defender explains what a training session is like with the Argentine: 

"When he is on your team, you find yourself stopping and admiring the things he does. Of course, when he is on the opposing team, things get complicated because he is very, very quick."

The France international ends his dissection of Messi in a humorous tone:

"As we usually make teams with few players, he doesn't fully dribble or pass as quick. If not, it would be very tough."

Digne also showed his awe at what FC Barcelona means. He explained the process behind his signing for the Blaugrana:

"I had two proposals from England, but when Barça called me, I didn't think about it. It is an opportunity that you can not turn down.

"I had always had the objective of playing for one of the great clubs, and I am sure that I will learn a lot."

The presence of Jordi Alba in his left-back position does not faze the Frenchman:

"It doesn't scare me to not arrive as a starter, because I have always wanted to reach the highest possible level."
