Liverpool's Brazilian star Philippe Coutinho wants Barcelona move

Philippe Coutinho is one of the players Barcelona are looking into signing, be that in January or next summer.

The coaches are convinced that he can add many things to the side's attack following the sale of Pedro Rodriguez, although Coutinho will only arrive if the economic cost of the operation is within the parametres which Barcelona have at the moment. What is known by Barça, though, is that the Brazilian would love to sign for the club if it's possible.

Coutinho's new agents have a good relationship with the Catalan club. In fact, they were previously involved in talks the club had with David Luiz and Marquinhos.

That fluid relationship has allowed the possiblilty of a transfer to move forward, although none of the parties involved have taken an definitive steps forward yet. In fact, David Luiz, who has the same agent, has already said that Coutinho is being followed by Barcelona and that it would be good for his career to move to Camp Nou.

One of the handicaps, at the moment, is the money Barça can spend in January. They spent a lot of money on Arda Turan and Aleix Vidal and the cost of the first team squad is very high.

Despite everything, Luis Enrique has asked for an effort to be made to add to his attack, which has been left short after the sale of Pedro and injuries to Rafinha and Lionel Messi. There are more affordable options on the market, but, without doubt, Coutinho would bring a lot of quality and would quickly adapt to La Liga, where he previously impressed with Espanyol.

Barça have approached the subject with cuation because Coutinho is a player on the rise and Liverpool, who are about to appoint a new manager, may want to cash in on the player as the look to re-model their squad. Many of Europe's big clubs have watched the player and his agents have also spoke with Real Madrid. Coutinho prefers Barcelona, though.

He's the type of player the club are looking for: a young midfielder-cum-forward who can play across the attack, with a lot of talent for now, but also for the future.

In addition, Coutinho knows Barcelona. He spent six months at Espanyol and is very good friends with Neymar, who has already said his international colleague would be received with open arms if he was signed. The relationship between the two is the reason Coutinho has made Barça a priority.

Barcelona would already have made a move if the operation was not going to be so costly, but in the coming weeks they must decide whether they will try to sign him and, if they decide they will, when: January or July? It's now just a question week.
