Barça are willing to pay €150 million (including add-ons) for Coutinho

There are four days left in the window and a deal for Coutinho seems difficult now

Robert Fernández said yesterday at the Dembélé presentation that he wanted “two or three more signings” before the transfer window shuts. Di Maria and Coutinho are the two players Barça want but both deals have stalled with only four days before the end of the window.

According to sources at Barça, Liverpool are a “wall that all offers are bouncing off”. Barça have spent nearly two months trying to convince Liverpool to sell the player but Jürgen Klopp does not want the player to leave.

Coutinho, who is currently with the Brazil squad, has not yet played a game for Liverpool this season due to injury. Coutinho is still desperate to move to Barça.

€150 MILLION… AND DI MARIA

Barça are willing to pay €150 million (including add-ons) for Coutinho – an amount similar to the one paid for Dembélé (€105 fixed plus €40 in add-ons). Barça are still working on convincing Liverpool to let the player go.

The Di Maria operation is off for now. Barça want to negotiate a realistic price with PSG for the player, who is nearly 30. Barça want to include a player in the deal to try to lower the €50 million fee demanded by the French club.
