Lionel Messi's trip to Egypt now has a new date

The initial visit was meant to be in December but a suicide attack in the city led to 29 dead and the event was put back

After two failed attempts Leo Messi will finally travel to Egypt on Tuesday to take part in a campaign against Hepatitis C. It will be the third time that the Barcelona forward is set to travel to Cairo, with the event needing to be postponed twice previously.

The initial visit was meant to be in December but a suicide attack in the city led to 29 dead and the event was put back.

Then the second date was last Wednesday, but the 4-0 defeat by PSG the next day hurt Barcelona so strongly he decided to stay with his team-mates and train.

Now he will finally travel to help the fight against the virus.
