There's a very real chance that Lionel Messi has fully recovered from his broken arm and could make his return to competitive football against Real Betis tomorrow evening. After being left out of the squad to face Inter Milan midweek, the Argentine took part in another full training session today as he steps up his fitness.
Messi came out onto the training pitch alongside his good friend Luis Suarez and completed the session like any other member of the squad. He wasn't afraid to get involved in the more physical activities and it appears his arm is as good as new.
Ernesto Valverde will release his official squad list once the session is over and afterwards will hold a press conference. The return of Messi would represent a huge boost to the coach who this week lost Philippe Coutinho to injury.
