Messi and Cesc Fabregas' families hung out ahead of Monday's ceremony
Lionel Messi, accompanied by Antonela, headed to London in the early afternoon on Sunday. He is in the English capital for FIFA's The Best awards which take place on Monday.
The general Barcelona group going will fly Monday but Messi took advantage of being released from training for a couple of days to head to London.
Messi's family are regularly there to meet up with their friends, Cesc Fabregas and his family. Chelsea played on Saturday and the squad had time off today, so they were able to meet up.
On Monday Messi and his family will meet up with the Barcelona group, headed by Josep Maria Bartomeu. He will fight Cristiano Ronaldo for the prize of best player.
