Lionel Messi and Neymar train together at Barcelona's base

Messi and Neymar have returned. The stars of Barcelona's team began their preseason training together on Thursday afternoon, along with Dani Alves and Javier Mascherano. Coaches Rafel Pol and Edu Pons took the small session. The four players worked while all their team-mates were on holiday. 

During the morning they had taken medical tests after returning from their holidays. Luis Enrique had given everyone else the day off after the USA tour. They will all be back in on Friday for a double session. 

Barcelona's campaign starts officially with the European Super Cup, against Sevilla, then the Spanish Super Cup, against Athletic Club.
