The French club want to loan the Barcelona striker

He is not needed by Ernesto Valverde, who prefers other options

Paco Alcacer seems closer and closer to an exit from Barcelona in January. The forward has not convinced Ernesto Valverde and the new playing system seems to have reduced his minutes further still. Barcelona had no intention of losing him in January as he's the replacement for Luis Suarez, but he wants to play and he has offers. One of them is from Lille, who have asked about his situation and are willing to take him on loan with an option to buy.

The forward is unsettled and wants to play to try and earn a place at the World Cup with Spain. He wanted to troumph at Barcelona and was asked to be patient by the technical stafff. He was convinced he would make it here but the reality is he hasn't entered into the rotations and has even been left out of the squad at times. Nobody doubts his quality but at Barcelona making it is very tricky.

According to But, Lille's director general Marc Ingla, travelled to Barcelona to express their interest. Lille need a player with his characteristics and Marcelo Bielsa has given the OK to the forward's arrival. The French club want a loan with an option to buy if Alcacer likes playing in France. Celta Vigo have also become interested in the striker, while some Premier League clubs have also started paying attention.
