La Liga is alive: Who Madrid, Barça & Sevilla play before the Clasico

La Liga is alive: Who Madrid, Barça & Sevilla play before the Clasico

Valencia's win over Real Madrid has set up an interesting run of 10 games in Spain's top flight

Real Madrid are one point ahead of Barcelona at the top of La Liga. They have one game in hand, but they missed their first opportunity to increase their lead when they lost at Valencia on Wednesday, failing to take advantage of the first of two games in hand.

Sevilla, meanwhile, are three points back from Madrid and have played the same amount of games Barça.

It sets things up nicely, in theory, for the Clasico between Madrid and Barça, which is set to take place on Apr. 23 at the Santiago Bernabeu. There are also some interesting games this weekend.

Madrid's loss at Mestalla, though, has breathed life back into a title race which they could have ran away with. And it's going to get trickier because on Sunday they visit Villarreal, while Barça also have a difficult trip to Atletico Madrid. Barça know they can't slip up if they want to win the league.

After that, Madrid have four games left at home, before the Clasico, while Barcelona have four games, among them Celta, Valencia and Sevilla.
