Lemar staying at Monaco despite Arsenal, Liverpool & Barça interest
The French midfielder was the subject of several bids this week
Arsenal agreed a fee with Monaco but the player didn't move
The 'Thomas Lemar Case' is over. The player will remain at Monaco for at least one more year, based on what he said after France's win over Holland in a World Cup qualifier on Thursday.
"I am a Monaco player and I am very happy there," he said. "Now I want to have a good year with my club and try to progress in my career. I will return to Monaco."
Asked how this week had been with all the speculation, he added: "I've prepared for this game [against Holland] like any other. I don't worry about things to do with the transfer market. I was focused on the game, which was the only thing that existed for me."
Remember that Lemar was the focus of bids from Arsenal and Liverpool on Thursday, with a fee even agreed between Monaco and the former.
There was also interest from Barcelona, although the player finally opted to remain in Monaco -- and then scored twice as France hammered Holland 4-0.
