Away from just the economics of the deal, Neymar’s contract also includes clauses relating to his private time and his social life, for example the club have asked the player that he learns Catalan. 

In the contract, leaked by Football Leaks on Monday, Barça encourage Neymar to “make a big effort to integrate into Catalan society, respecting and assuming the cultural values, especially in learning the Catalan language, a fundamental vehicle for the mentioned integration.” 

Elsewhere, Neymar’s deal also prohibits him from riding motorbikes, going paragliding, skiing or climbing - normal limits for professional athletes.

In addition, it is made clear to the player that he must "refrain from carrying out acts that entail risking amounts of money or economically assessable objects in the form of betting or wagering on the outcome of competitions and sporting events, official or not, involving FC Barcelona.”
