The German does not expect to lose the talented Brazilian this summer

Barça want to sign him but may not be able to pay what Liverpool want

Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp spoke on Wednesday about Barcelona's interest in signing Coutinho. The German coach gave a very clear response, saying that the English side have no need to sell the Brazilian.

“There are absolutely no plans," he said when asked about selling Coutinho to Barça. "What our owners say is there is the absolute opportunity not to sell anybody if we do not want to.

"That means we can bring in others players and it is a good situation. We have a stable squad with a good basis. We want to bring a few in with fresh blood but nobody will leave us without our say, so I am completely relaxed about this.”

In addition, Klopp made reference to the renewal Coutinho signed earlier this season.

“When did he sign his new contract? So that would be a nice idea [to sell him]. With a £400m clause...” the German coach said ironically.
