Juventus's Paul Pogba lays down his conditions to sign for FC Barcelona

The final moves in Barcelona's bid to sign Paul Pogba are taking place on Wednesday in a meeting with Juventus. The meeting will serve as a huge step forward if the two clubs can reach an agreement. However, the Blaugrana would still need to reach a deal with Pogba, too.

Pogba wants to play for Barça, but his entourage have advised that there are demands which must be met. The French player's priority is to move to Camp Nou and he is ready to wait for that chance, but in return he wants Barça to make an effort when coming up with his personal terms.

Mino Raiola, the player's agent, has been in Barcelona listening to the offer that Barcelona have put together for the player. He is regularly in contact with the club's executives on the telephone. Raiola has wanted the club to make an official offer to Juve, while he's also advised them that they need to improve the contract offer

Pogba wants a salary of 12 million euros net per season and is not thinking about dropping down -- he already has a bigger offer from Manchester City. If Barça accept those terms, he would be the second highest paid player in the squad after Lionel Messi, earning more than both Neymar and Luis Suarez.

Raiola believes Barça are in a position to pay this amount if the meeting with Juve goes to plan, however his strategy is to wait a few weeks. He will not get involved in the electoral process and will only talk with the new president about an operation. There have been talks, of course, but they won't become serious until July 19.

Meanwhile, Pogba is ready to stay in Turin for one more season, heading to Catalonia next summer. He is grateful to the Italian club for allowing him to grow as a player and is happy to stay another year. His entourage believe that the six million net he currently earns, though, is not enough, so would ask Juve and Barça for more money over the course of the next 12 months, as he could earn a lot more if he left for City this summer.

As for the famous commission, Raiola will make a a lot from the operation. It will not be something which will get in the way of Pogba moving to Barça, though. What Raiola wants is for his player to have a salary relevant to his talent and the offers that he has on the table from other European clubs. Once there's an agreement between Barça-Juve and Barça-Pogba, the deal will be totally closed.

Pogba is currently on holiday and is not talking about his future. Raiola is waiting for a phone call from Barcelona to detail how the meeting has gone with Juventus on Wednesday. It won't be until July 19, remember, when a deal can be made concrete.

If things don't go to plan, Pogba will resume conversations with English clubs and could move to the Premier League this summer. Raiola recently met with City's Txiki Begiristain, who made a huge offer, one which is almost unrejectable.
