Judge dismisses Barcelona's case against former president Laporta

Barcelona's legal action against Joan Laporta, the club's former president, has been thrown out of court in Spain on Tuesday.

It had been claimed by the Barça board - originally by Sandro Rosell and followed through by Josep Maria Bartomeu - that Laporta had converted a €79million loss into an €11million profit by forging the accounts.

They released figures which supposedly proved that between 2003 and 2010 the club had lost €47million.

However, Judge Jose Manuel Martinez Borrego has found in favour of Laporta.

The former head honcho at Barça won't, therefore, have to pay any money back to the Catalan club.

Bartomeu and the Barcelona board now have up to 20 days to decide if they want to appeal the judge's decision.
