Ricardo Slipper says there's been no formal contact

He said Pizzi is focused on doing his job with Chile

Ricardo Slipper, the agent of Chile coach Juan Antonio Pizzi, has referred to the Argentine manager's future, saying that "for now" he will not listen to offers although he recognised the release clause is not very high.

Slipper told La Tercera in Chile that "there has been no formal contact with Barcelona" in relation to the Catalan club's interest in Pizzi.

He added that he was unaware of the information revealed by SPORT but that Barça were interested but that it did not come as a surprise: "Juan's well-appreciated [in Spain], despite his spellt with Valencia being brief he left a good impression."

Slipper added that Pizzi "is committed to the Chilean national team and has no offers from other teams at the moment. His head is on the Confederations Cup and for now he will not listen to offers."

The Confederations Cup will be played in Russia between Jun. 17 and Jul. 2 this summer.

Slipper did not want to reveal what the amount of the release clause in Pizzi's contract it, but he added that "it is not in the millions, although I insist that this alternative is not being contemplated."
