Josep Maria Bartomeu hopes Lionel Messi will retire at Barcelona

The president of Barcelona, Josep Maria Bartomeu, attended a directors lunch to mark the clash between Barcelona and PSG. 

Bartomeu wanted to make it clear that the club will never sell Leo Messi and ignore the siren song of clubs who want to buy him. 

"We are concerned about tonights game and the league," said the president. 

"We are delighted to have Leo at the club, he has been fundemental for the last few years. He is going to remain fundamental. And as we always say we hope he will retire at our club." 

Messi has been in fine fettle this season for Barcelona, creating and scoring goals with abandon.
