Josep Maria Bartomeu: I hope that Neymar will retire at Barcelona

Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu has expressed his desire for Neymar to remain at the club for a long time after reports in England and Brazil continued to cite interest from Manchester United.

"In a few months, we will talk about his renewal. He has to continue [at Barça] not just for three years, but for five or 10 more years. We don't want Ney to go, he is young and we want him to retire here," Bartomeu said in an interview on Catalunya Radio.

Bartomeu will not even listen to offers for the Brazilian, even though reports say United could offer around 190 million euros, an amount never seen before in football.

The president also ruled out any more signings this summer, except in the case of an emergency: "As long as there is no serious injury to anyone, we will not make any more signings," he affirmed.

As for Messi, Bartomeu is convinced he will return to the top of the Ballon d'Or podium this year. "Everything suggests Leo will win all the individual prizes," he said, before wishing Pedro luck at Chelsea and predicting "he will return to Barça one day."
